Michael Amaning
In addition to his role as Peer Facilitator at Generation Arts, Michael is Associate Artist at Playing On Theatre Company helping to create theatre to transform the lives of disenfranchised people. In 2014 he co-led on “Hearing Things” an exciting collaboration with the Maudsley Hospital generating a piece of theatre exploring mental health. He has worked as a facilitator in prisons and criminal justice settings with Safeground, Isis and Only Connect and assisted on the “No Offence” restorative justice programme at The Lyric, Hammersmith. In partnership with People’s Palace Projects and Afro Reggae Michael was part of a delegation to visit Brazil and share theatre practice. He has worked with school pupils on free school meals delivering drama skills with West End in Schools, and with 6th form students in Harlesden on a project based on the play ‘Inside’.
Matt Harrison
Matt is an award winning director and theatre maker who trained at East 15 Acting. He was awarded the 2015 Bryan Forbes Bursary throughout which he was mentored by Michael Attenborough CBE. Matt has created and directed work at venues including the New Diorama, Finborough and Ambassadors Theatre as well as the National Theatre’s temporary space. He is Assistant Director to Emma Rice on Kneehigh’s ‘The Flying Lovers of Vitebsk’ and is developing a piece with Olivier nominated writer James Fritz. Matt regularly facilitates for organisations including the Old Vic, Almeida and Tricycle theatres as well as NYT and the wonderful Generation Arts.
Kate Maravan
Kate is an actress/writer and teacher. She trained at RADA and has co-written scripts for theatre, the BBC and Channel 4. In 1997 Kate discovered Meisner Technique and embarked on an on going practice and exploration of the work. She began teaching in 2000 and now teaches in the UK and internationally. She teaches on a weekly basis at the Actors Centre and a weekly evening class in Exmouth Market. Kate is also interested in collaborations with other practitioners; she has recently co taught a Meisner /5 Rhythms workshop with Cathy Ryan.
Juliet Knight
Juliet is a director, actor and facilitator. She aims to make work that is playful, honest, authentic and collaborative. Her approach to rehearsals involves creating an ensemble and offering a collaborative space for writers to develop new work.
Her directing credits include ‘The Day After’ by Miran Hadzic at The Vault Festival (Edinburgh Festival 2016). ‘Variety Hall’ by Luke Barnes rehearsed reading at Shoreditch Town Hall with High- tide and Soho Theatre. ‘White Boy’ created and developed with the writer Tanika Gupta at Soho Theatre. ‘Stars Over Kabul’ developed with the writer Rebecca Lenkiewicz at The Tramway, Glasgow. ‘Weekday Nights’ by Luke Barnes Unicorn Theatre and NYT. ‘Cardboard Dad’ by Alan Harris at Sherman Cmyru. ‘A Just Act’ by E V Crowe with Clean Break Theatre Company touring magistrates offices and prisons. ‘Prime Resident’ by Stella Duffy at Soho Theatre. ‘There are Mountains’ developed with Chloe Moss at HMP Askham Grange for Clean Break Theatre Company. ‘Talking to Byron’ by Tanika Gupta for The National Youth Theatre. ‘Out of Me’ by Jane Bodie at Soho Theatre with NYT. ‘The Miracle’ by Lin Coghlan at Central School of Speech and Drama Diploma Course.

Juliet is a lecturer at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and a regular tutor and director at Clean Break Theatre Company, The National Youth Theatre of Great Britain, Generation Arts and Central.
This Summer she is directing a new play by Izzy Tennyson ‘Runts’ at Brighton and Camden Fringe Festival, creating a show at Central School of Speech and Drama with the B A Applied Theatre course to tour Cornwall and she has a new production of ‘Bone Cage’ by Catherine Banks with her own company playing in London later this year
