Top Tips for Keeping safe: 

• Where possible only attend castings / auditions with organisations you have heard of
• Scrutinise production companies / individuals online and check their legitimacy
• Be wary of organisations and people “selling dreams”. Do your research to check their track record with people who have worked with them.
• Think very carefully about working for free, or for “profit-share”. Work out your value and the value this project has to you. Don’t allow yourself to be exploited as a young actor. A lot of people will try to.
• Never ever pay money to attend a casting
• Never attend an audition at night
• Never attend an audition in someone’s home
• Never send images containing nudity or anything you feel uncomfortable with.
• Always listen to your instincts. If it feels dodgy it probably is.
• Inform a friend or loved one before attending a casting
• If the person or the questions feel wrong, make your excuses and leave.
